Seek for an ideal 3-day trip when you take the exotic beauty of North Vietnam into consideration. Our recommendation is to visit Ba Be lake and Ban Gioc waterfall. Ba Be Lake is in the middle of Ba Be national park, known as the biggest natural lake in Vietnam, famous for its poetic beauty and charm with a vast variety of flora and fauna, as well as interesting geology and landscapes like emerald water, mysterious jungle, peaceful local villages, limestone islands and caves...etc. Ban Gioc Waterfall is the top 4 biggest border waterfall in the world, famous for its unique location, gigantic waters and last but not least, its exhilarating beauty. These non-touristy parts promise to grant you a great sense of nature.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi – Quang Uyen
Leave Hanoi for Quang Uyen at 8 AM on a 6-hour drive. Stop in Thai Nguyen city to visit Museum of Ethnic Minorities in Viet Nam. After lunch in Bac Kan city, go through six mountainous passes to reach homestay at an incense making village of Quang Uyen district, Cao Bang province. Rest of the day can be spent to discover life of Nung people here and the way they make incense to survive. If you are hungry for more amazing landscape, it is recommended you have 1-hour hike up the mountain behind the village to get the whole exotic view and enjoy a sunset break at the peak.
Day 2: Quang Uyen – Ban Gioc waterfall – Nguom Ngao cave – Ba Be lake
Take a morning exercise and enjoy the fresh air before your served local breakfast. Hit the road again to captivating Ban Gioc waterfall, the fourth biggest border waterfall in the world between Vietnam and China. Stop en route for a short walk around Phuoc Sen village, a Nung village where they make knives as traditional handicraft.
Pay a visit to amazing Nguom Ngao limestone cave, known as Tiger cave before return Ba Be lake. Enjoy the peacefull sunset by the lake. If time permits, have a swim in cooling fresh water of the lake.
Day 3: Ba Be Lake Half Day Boating – Hanoi
Enjoy last breakfast in this rural paradise before 3-hour boating around the lake. Short walk to see Cam village with nature, local people and school at the end of the lake. Follow Nang river to Puong cave, a tunnel cave full of amazement from limestone stalactites and stalagmites to mysterious bats. Continue to Buoc Lom wharf where you say goodbye to Ba Be and return Hanoi.

All promise to take your breath away.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang
After pick up at your hotel, have a 6-hour transfer to Ha Giang. Chance to witness the change from bustle of busy Hanoi to peace of rural areas. Stop somewhere for photos or a short walk in the middle of the fields nearby. Lunch at a local restaurant on the way.
Arrive Ha Giang city at about 4 PM.
Take the rest of day wandering around Tay villages where there are emerald green rice fields, traditional wooden stilt houses tiled with palm leaves or cooling off in a local stream nearby. Enjoy typically local dinner and call it a day.
Day 2: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Yen Minh - Dong Van
Start the day with an early wake up for sunrise photo hunt. After breakfast, wind up the mountain to Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark. Stop at some places in Quan Ba and Yen Minh to cast an eye on exotic nature and have pics. Lunch served at a local restaurant in Yen Minh town.
After lunch, head to Dong Van. Stop en route to have 1,5-hour walk on mountain trails crossing some local Hmong villages before paying a visit to old Palace of King of Hmong people in Sa Phin valley. Reach Dong Van at about 4.30 PM. If time permits, have an easy walk up the French Fortress of Dong Van where you get the panoramic view of the town at sunset.
Day 3: Dong Van – Trek In Ma Pi Leng Pass – Cao Bang City
Day begins with a visit to Dong Van market. If Sunday, you will happen to see a unique weekly market fair of Hmong people. You can also enjoy a typically morning Vietnamese coffee in Dong Van Old Quarter. After the market, a 20-min drive tranfers you to hiking point of Ma Pi Leng pass. Now make sure you are not amazed by the glamorous beauty of this top-of-the-world destination. This 2.5-hour walk takes you to the top of the pass, winding through some local Hmong villages and their corn fields, ends after a strolling via the high corridor path on the edge of the mountain looking down to Nho Que river and Tu San canyon. After a short break for nature idolization, continue to Cao Bang City. Lunch in Bao Lac district.
Day 4: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Nguom Ngao Cave – Quang Uyen
Hit the road again to panoramic Ban Gioc waterfall, the fourth biggest border waterfall in the world between Vietnam and China. Stop en route for a short walk around Phuoc Sen village, a Nung village where they make knives as traditional handicraft. Picnic lunch at the waterfall and relax.
Pay a visit to amazing Nguom Ngao limestone cave, known a Tiger cave before return to homestay in an incense making village belonging to Nung people. Chance to discover life in the village and the way they make incense. If you are hungry for more amazement, it is recommended you have 1-hour hike up the mountain behind the village to get the whole exotic view and enjoy a sunset break at the peak.
Day 5: Quang Uyen – Ba Be Lake – Cycling In Ba Be National Park
After breakfast, take a 3-hour drive to Ba Be Lake. Wind through 5 passes around mountain roads. Arrive Cho Ra town at lunch time. After lunch, go to your homestay in Pac Ngoi village where you start a 4-km biking on a local path to Hua Ma cave, known as the most beautiful limestone cave in Northeast Vietnam. Spend 1 hour hiking up to see the cave and admire the beauty of stalactites and staglamites.
After the cave, return Ba Be lake at Pac Ngoi village, an original Tay village by the lake. After check in homestay, walk to Pac Ngoi wharf from which you can do kayaking and cool off in fresh water.
Day 6: Ba Be Lake Half Day Boating - Hanoi
Enjoy last breakfast in this rural paradise before 3-hour boating around the lake. Short walk to see Cam village with nature, local people and school at the end of the lake. Follow Nang river to Puong cave, a tunnel cave full of amazement from limestones stalactites and stalagmites to mysterious bats. Continue to Buoc Lom wharf where you say good bye to Ba Be and return Hanoi.

1. Booking & Payment
A/ Booking
All bookings must be made via the reservation form featured on our website or via email to the address info@orecatours.com. Response will be forthcoming within 12 hours.
If total value of your booking is more than $100, bookings must be secured by a deposit of a minimum of 25% of the total. This deposit is non-refundable unless we cancel your tour. Your booking will be confirmed once we have received this amount of deposit. Full payment must be made at least 15 days prior to your departure date.
If total value of your booking is less than $100, a full and non-refundable payment will be charged.
Note: Custom tours need a full payment at least 45 days prior to your departure date.
B/ Payment Method
Oreca Adventure Tours accepts payments in methods as below:
a. Secure Online Payment:
Customer can pay by credit card via a secure online payment system, with 3,3% bank fees (for Visa, Master, ...) or 4% bank fees (for AMEX cards) at his expense.
As this payment method is still in Vietnamese dong, the amount to be paid will be converted to Vietnamese so (VND) according to the exchange rate of the Vietcombank closest to the date of payment if the quote is made in euros or dollars.
b. Bank Transfer:
The customer can also pay by bank transfer. The bank details of Oreca Adventure Tours will be communicated to the customer upon conclusion of the service contract. Bank charges, determined by the client's bank and Oreca Adventure Tours’, are the responsibility of the client.
c. Cash Payment :
Payments in cash are made to the Oreca Adventure Tours’ office or directly to its agents upon presentation of a stamped invoice. If customers stay far from our office, we will help to make the payment at your accepted places.
Unlike other modes, the cash payment does not entail any costs.
2. Prices
All prices are in United States Dollars ($) unless otherwise indicated. Please note that prices quoted are subject to change. Price changes may occur by reason of matters outside our control which increase the cost of the services which we arrange on your behalf. Such factors include adverse currency fluctuations, fuel costs, taxes and accommodation increases. The price is only guaranteed once paid for in full by you. No refunds will be made in respect of accommodation, meals, activities, transport or other services which are included in the tour price but, for whatever reason, are not utilized by you.
3. Cancellations By Customers
Cancellation of a booking by customers must be made in writing. We will not regard a booking as cancelled unless and until written notice is received by us. On cancellation the following charges will apply:

14 – 07 days 50% of total price
06 days – 48 hours 75% of total price
< 48 hours 100% of total price
Note:
- Depending on destination, airlines, hotels and cruise operator cancellation policies, the above cancellation policy is subject to change.
- No refunds are given in case of force majeure
- Any travel interrupted or shortened or any service not used by clients for any reason whatsoever does not lead to any compensation or reimbursement.
4. Cancellation Or Modification By Us
Every effort will be made to operate all tours as advertised but it must be remembered that our tours are planned in advance and due to factors outside our control. It may be necessary to use alternative accommodation and services in some instances. We therefore reserve the right to modify or cancel any tour, accommodation or arrangement at any time. We will notify you as soon as possible of any material changes. In the event of any material modification or cancellation we will, if possible, arrange on your behalf three alternatives:
• Services of an equivalent or similar standard, if available;
• Services of a lower standard together with a refund of the difference in price; or
• Cancellation with a full refund of all money paid (not applied in force majeure)
A material modification is one which has a serious affect on your tour and includes a change of departure date, departure point or airport, or change of departure time of more than twelve hours, which would cause substantial inconvenience to you. A change of accommodation or transport style is not a material change. In the event that there are an insufficient number of bookings to provide a particular tour, we may cancel the tour no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled departure date, whereupon all money paid by you for your tours shall be refunded but no further compensation will be paid. You and Oreca Adventure Tours agree to release each other from any further obligations which would have been enforceable had the tour not been cancelled.
5. Travel Insurance
We will do everything possible to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. However, all travel involves some degree of risk and we strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance for your adventure. Your insurance protection should include cover for cancellation, medical and repatriation expenses, personal injury and accident, death and loss of personal baggage and money and personal liability. Evidence of such insurances should be produced to Oreca Adventure Tours on request. Insurance cover offered by credit card companies or reciprocal medical cover agreements are often not comprehensive.
6. Itinerary Exclusions
Please note that, unless otherwise specifically stated in your itinerary, airfares, airport transfers, departure taxes, early/late hotel check-ins, gratuities, personal expenses and some meals are excluded from the tour price. We are happy to provide you with a quote for airport transfers, early check-in or any additional services you might require.
7. About Infant And Child Prices
Child under 2 Free of charge (not applied for air tickets)
Child from 3-5 50% of total tour (not applied for air tickets)
Child from 6-11 75% of total tour (not applied for air tickets)
Child from 12 and above Adult price
Please note that some suppliers may impose additional fees for infants and children. These will be advised at time of booking.
8. Special requests
You must let us know at the time of making your booking if you have special requests or needs (such as ground floor accommodation, disability access or specific dietary requirements). We will try to meet any request you have, however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate every person’s needs and we make no promises and take no responsibility for special requests which we are unable to fulfil. If we reasonably feel we are unable to satisfactorily accommodate your particular needs, we reserve the right to decline the booking or ask for you to be accompanied by a person who is able to provide full assistance to you throughout your tour.
9. Health
You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to your travel and ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. In some cases, failure to present required vaccination documentation (e.g. proof of Yellow Fever vaccination) may deny you entry into a country. We recommend that you consult with your local doctor, travel medical service or specialist vaccination clinic before commencing your tour.
10. Travel Documents & Conduct
All travellers must check their travel documentation to ensure that the dates are correct, visas have been obtained and passports have at least six months validity. Please ensure you carefully read your invoice and all other documents we send to you as soon as you receive them and contact us immediately if any information appears to be incorrect. If you do not arrive on the agreed date for your tour we may treat the tour as having been cancelled by you.
You must follow our instructions at all times and you agree to indemnify us against any loss or injury suffered as a result of failing to comply with our instructions. You must conduct yourself in a proper manner so as to not to cause disturbance or offence to other travellers and you agree to take responsibility for any damage you cause to our or any third party’s property. We will not be responsible to you for any loss or damage sustained by you arising from or in relation to your contravention of any law of any place while on the tour. You indemnify us for all third party actions taken against us for loss or damage caused by you or arising from your participation on the tour.
11. Feedback
If you’re not satisfied with any aspect of the services we have arranged on your behalf, you should report it to your tour guide so that immediate action can be taken to remedy the problem. Any feedback made to Oreca Adventure Tours following the conclusion of the tour should be made in writing within 14 days of completion of the tour. In the event that you do not notify us in writing within 14 days, our ability to investigate negative feedback may be prejudiced.
12. Photography
We occasionally take photos during our tours for use in promotional material. Unless you advise us otherwise, you consent to such use of your photographic/video likeness.
13. Our Role As Agent
Certain third party-provided services (including third party-provided flights, coach and boat transport), hotel accommodation, meals, and certain sight-seeing activities are arranged by us in our capacity as agent only. Our obligation is to make bookings on your behalf for such services and to arrange relevant contracts between you and such service providers. We exercise care in the selection of reputable service providers but we have no control over, or liability for, the services provided by third parties. All bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions including conditions of carriage and limitations of liability imposed by these service providers. We can provide you with copies of the relevant service provider terms and conditions on request. Your legal rights in relation to such services are against the specific service provider and, except to the extent a problem is caused by fault on our part, not against us. You acknowledge that this clause shall apply to all third party-provided services notwithstanding that our tour guide may accompany you during provision of such services.
14. Monies Not Held On Trust
All monies paid by you to us will be our property and will be a debt due and payable to the travel service provider once the services to which the money relates have been provided. You agree and acknowledge that such monies will not be held by us on trust for and on behalf of you and we may hold such monies in any account as we see fit, including with our own and/or other customer monies.
