5-DAYS MARANGU ROUTE
Marangu route is the shortest route to reach the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro compared to the rest of the routes, it offers a package of 5/6 days hike, with least-cost. The uniqueness of this route compared to the rest is the accommodation facilities, that it offers a shared Mountain hut/cabins, with beds and mattresses. Facilities like clean wash rooms, solar power and piped water are the extra services available in Marangu route.
Hike in Marangu route can be done within 5 and/or 6 days, if done in 6 days, the one day extra is used for acclimatization on Zebra rock, Horombo hut. The short falls on this route is acclimatization, this may results into altitude sickness, insufficient oxygen as altitude increases. An overall successful rate of this route is 80%, others may fail to summit successful due to several factors like unfriendly weather(heavy rainfall snow and wind) altitude sickness or/and a state of personal illness.
During 5/6 days hiking, from Marangu gate you will pass through the following points, where you will spend some nights;

ITINERARY
DAY 00: ARRIVALS
Upon your arrivals at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our office representative, followed by an hour drive to the hotel in Moshi Town. After having a short rest at the hotel, our Mountain guide will meet you to check with your climbing gears and equipment. If some gears will be missing, our guide will help you on how to rent those missing gears from the rental shops.
DAY 01: (beginning of the tour) From Hotel to Marangu gate-Mandara Hut.
Around 0900hrs, the drive from Moshi town to Kilimanjaro National Park-Marangu gate will take place, it will take not more than one hour to reach Marangu gate, passing through the villages located on the lower slopes of the Mountain. At the gate you will have to register all the important details like name, Nationality and passport number. While the registration process is taking place, porters will be seen sorting and weighting the luggage. You will have spare time to move around taking photo and reading the historical information of Kilimanjaro Mountain.
After all process being completed, you will slowly start hiking, to the first point, Mandara Hut, where you will spend the rest of the day, dinner and overnight. Distance from Marangu gate to Mandara hut is 8km and it can take you up to 4 hours hiking, and the trail is through Mountain rainfall forest.
DAY 02: From Mandara hut to Horombo hut.
After breakfast at Mandara Hut, you will start hiking to Horombo hut, 11km from Mandara, and it may take up to 7 hours. The trail passes through the short stretch of forest to the base of Maundi crater, and you will have a time to take a short tour to the rim of the crater. Once you reach at Horombo hut, you will have a rest, dinner and overnight.
DAY 03: From Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut. (Summit overnight)
After breakfast at Horombo hut, you will start ascend to Kibo hut, passing through the alpine desert habitat. Distance from Horombo to Kibo is 9.6km and the approximated time is up to 6 hours. At Kibo hut you will have a hot lunch, rest and early dinner because you will be supposed to go to bed as early as possible.
SUMMIT NIGHT
After 6 hours of sleeping, you will be awake around 01:00am, preparing yourself with the summiting gears, remember to have enough warm clothing and gears that will accommodate up to -10 Celsius. Guides will lead you slowly to hike up, passing through Hans Meyer cave to Gilman’s point (5681m), before finishing at Uhuru Peak (5,895m)
DAY 04: From summit to Kibo hut-Horombo hut.
The dawning of the fourth day might still caught you at the peak of Kilimanjaro, if it’s not so much cold, you will have time to take photos of your lifetime adventure in Tanzania. After all you will slowly start to descend to Kibo hut, where you will have a short rest and breakfast, then later descending to Horombo hut where you will have rest, lunch, dinner and overnight.
DAY 05: From Horombo hut to Marangu gate.
After breakfast, you will hike down using the same trail as when you ascended. Distance now is 19km and because it’s hiking down, it will take up to 7 hours. At Marangu gate you will have to sign out as you signed in, receiving the certificates for those who summit successfully, followed by an hour private drive to the hotel in Moshi.

6-DAYS MACHAME ROUTE
Machame route is the best and most popular route to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, compared to the rest of the routes. It is a little bit tough and difficult to hike in this route, as its trail passes through the rocks and steeper hiking for almost half way, it is for this reason, Machame route is nicknamed Whiskey route. Machame route takes a large share all climbers compared to the rest of the route, nearly 50% of all climbers use Machame route.
The overall summit successful rate is 95%, where the 5% may fail due to several reasons like bad weather (heavy rainfall and snow) and/or state of personal weakness/illness.
-The benefit of this route is that it offers a good acclimatization throughout the way.
-Accommodation nature of this route is public tent camping.
The route passes through several camps (camping where you might spend an overnight), from Machame gate to Uhuru Peak.
-Machame Gate to Machame Camp
-Shira Camp
-Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Distance from Machame gate to Machame camp hut is 11km and it can take you up to 5 hours hiking, and the trail is through Mountain rainfall forest.
DAY 02: From Machame Camp to Shira camp
After breakfast at Machame camp you will slowly hike up to the next camp, leaving the rain forest and entering the moorland vegetations. You will cross many streams and walk a rocky ridge onto Shira plateau that leads you to Shira camp, (3,840m). At the camp you will spend the remaining time for rest, dinner and overnight.
DAY 03: From Shira camp to Barranco Camp, via Lava Tower.
Leaving Shira after breakfast and start ascending to Barranco campsite, passing through moorland to semi desert and rocky landscape. A break for lunch will be at Lava Tower (4630m) before start to hike down to the camp (3950m). At this pass, climbers may experiences the effects of high altitude like headache and shortness of breath.
At Barranco Camp you will have a rest, dinner and overnight.

DAY 04: From Barranco camp to Barafu base camp via Karanga Valley Camp. (Summit overnight)
After breakfast at Barranco camp, the trail continues to Karanga Valley, crossing ridges and valleys. At Karanga camp, you will have a break for hot lunch, before continue hiking to Barafu base camp. At barafu camp you will have a dinner and early sleeping because you will awake at mid-night for summit attempt.
Around 01:00am, guide will awake you to get well prepared with the summiting gears, warm clothes that can accommodate up to -10 degree Celsius. After all process be done, guide will slowly lead you to hike up for the summit attempt, passing through Stella point, (5685m) to Uhuru Peak (5895).
DAY 05: The beginning of fifth day might caught you at the peak if the weather is good, you will be able to spend couple of minutes at the peak, taking a beautiful photo while sunrises, drinking a tea on your thermal bottle before start descending down to Barafu camp.
At barafu camp you will have time to rest, before continuing to hike down to Millemium/Mweka camp for lunch, dinner and overnight.
DAY 06: (final day of the tour) From Mweka camp to Mweka gate.
It’s the end of 6 days in the jungle, morning of this day you will be packing all of your stuffs ready to leave the park. Crew will be seen organizing and sorting all stuffs for marking the end of the tour. They will be singing, celebrating and congratulating you for a successful climb. After all that you will hike down to Mweka gate, where you will sign out, and receive certificates for those who made their summit attempt successfully. An hour drive from the gate will drop you to the hotel in town, ready for rest and continuing with other schedule.

A break for lunch will be at Lava Tower (4630m) before start to hike down to the camp (3950m). At barafubase camp you will have a rest, dinner and early sleeping because you will awake at mid-night for summit attempt.
Around 01:00am, guide will awake you to get well prepared with the summiting gears, warm clothes that can accommodate up to -10 degree Celsius. After all process be done, guide will slowly lead you to hike up for the summit attempt, passing through Stella point, (5685m) to Uhuru Peak (5895).
DAY 06: From summit (Uhuru-Peak) to Barafu base camp- Mweka Camp
The beginning of sixth day might caught you at the peak if the weather is good, you will be able to spend couple of minutes at the peak, taking a beautiful photo while sunrises, drinking a tea on your thermal bottle before start descending down to Barafu camp.
At barafu camp you will have time to rest, before continuing to hike down to Millemium/Mweka camp for lunch, dinner and overnight.
DAY 07: (final day of the tour) From Mweka camp to Mweka gate.

7-Days Lemosho Route
Lemosho route approaches Kilimanjaro from the West side of the mountain, is less difficult route compared to the rest of the routes. On first and second hiking days, the trail is gentle slope passing through the rain forest that makes climbing easier. Some climbers hike even for 6 days, but it’s highly recommended to be done in 7/8 days. The climate on this route is clear conducive and it’s in favor for even the aged climbers.
ITINERARY:
DAY 00: ARRIVALS
Upon your arrivals at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our office representative, followed by an hour drive to the hotel in Moshi Town. After having a short rest at the hotel, our Mountain guide will meet you to check with your climbing gears and equipment. Day 01: From Hotel to Londorossi gate (2100m) to MtiMkubwa (2821m)
Distance: 5km
Time taken to hike: 3 hours
Habitat: Mountain forest
A 3-hours private drive from hotel in Moshi to starting point, Londorosi gate. At the gate registration, payment and entrance permit process will take place while porters are sorting and weight the luggage.
After all process be done, the hike starts to the first camp, MtiMkubwa campsite. Trail is gentle slope, and it’s passing through the rain forest. At the campsite you will have to spend the remaining time for rest, dinner and overnight.
DAY 02: From MtiMkubwa to Shira 2 Camp (3840M)
Distance: 16.5km
Time taken: 10 hours
Habitat: Montane forest zone to Moorland zone
After breakfast, hike will continue to Shira 2 campsite, leaving the rain forest and start approaching moorland vegetation. Gently hike across the plateau to Shira 2 camp, crossing some streams, it’s a good path for acclimatization. Lunch box will be provided on the way, you will enter shira 2 camp late afternoon, spending the remaining time for rest, dinner and overnight.
Day 03: From Shira 2 to Barranco camp (3950m) via Lava tower (4642m)
Distance: 10km
Time taken: 8 hours
Habitat: Alpine desert.
The hike continue to the high point Lava tower, a short break for acclimatization and lunch, before heading down to BarrancoVallay Camp, viewing the great Barranco Wall. The camp is crowded because it’s the hub for 3-routes (Machame, Umbwe and Lemosho route). At the camp you will have a rest, dinner and overnight.
Day 04: From Barranco to Karanga camp
After breakfast at Barranco camp you will have a short hike to Karanga camp, where you will spend the remaining time for hot lunch, dinner and overnight.
DAY 05: From Karanga Camp to Barafu base camp (summit overnight)
At barafu base camp you will have a rest, dinner and early sleeping because you will awake at mid-night for summit attempt.
Around 01:00am, guide will awake you to get well prepared with the summiting gears, warm clothes that can accommodate up to -10 degree Celsius. After all process be done, guide will slowly lead you to hike up for the summit attempt, passing through Stella point, (5685m) to Uhuru Peak (5895).
DAY 06: From Summit (Uhuru Peak) to Barafu-Mweka Camp
The beginning of sixth day might caught you at the peak if the weather is good, you will be able to spend couple of minutes at the peak, taking a beautiful photo while sunrises, drinking a tea on your thermal bottle before start descending down to Barafu camp.
At barafu camp you will have time to rest, before continuing to hike down to Millemium/Mweka camp for lunch, dinner and overnight.
DAY 07: (final day of the tour) From Mweka camp to Mweka gate.
It’s the end of 7 days in the jungle, morning of this day you will be packing all of your stuffs ready to leave the park. Crew will be seen organizing and sorting all stuffs for marking the end of the tour. They will be singing, celebrating and congratulating you for a successful climb. After all that you will hike down to Mweka gate, where you will sign out, and receive certificates for those who made their summit attempt successfully. An hour drive from the gate will drop you to the hotel in town, ready for rest and continuing with other schedule.

8-Days Lemosho Route
Lemosho route approaches Kilimanjaro from the West side of the mountain, is less difficult route compared to the rest of the routes. On first and second hiking days, the trail is gentle slope passing through the rain forest that makes climbing easier. Some climbers hike even for 6 days, but it’s highly recommended to be done in 7/8 days. The climate on this route is clear conducive and it’s in favor for even the aged climbers.
ITINERARY:
DAY 00: ARRIVALS
Upon your arrivals at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our office representative, followed by an hour drive to the hotel in Moshi Town. After having a short rest at the hotel, our Mountain guide will meet you to check with your climbing gears and equipment. If some gears will be missing, our guide will help you on how to rent those missing gears from the rental shops
Day 01: From Hotel to Londorossi gate (2100m) to MtiMkubwa (2821m)
Distance: 5km
Time taken to hike: 3 hours
Habitat: Mountain forest
A 3-hours private drive from hotel in Moshi to starting point, Londorosi gate. At the gate registration, payment and entrance permit process will take place while porters are sorting and weight the luggage.
After all process be done, the hike starts to the first camp, MtiMkubwa campsite. Trail is gentle slope, and it’s passing through the rain forest. At the campsite you will have to spend the remaining time for rest, dinner and overnight.
DAY 02: From MtiMkubwa to Shira one Camp (3500M)
Distance: 8km
Time taken: 5 hours
Habitat: Montane forest zone to Moorland zone
After breakfast, hike will continue to Shira one campsite, leaving the rain forest and start approaching moorland vegetation. At shira camp you will have a rest, dinner and overnight.
DAY 03: From Shira one to Shira two Camp (3840m)
Distance: 8.5km
Time: 5 hours
Habitat: Moorland
Gently hike across the plateau to Shira 2 camp, crossing some streams on trail, it’s a good path for acclimatization. Lunch box will be provided on the way, you will enter shira 2 camp late afternoon, spending the remaining time for rest, dinner and overnight.
Day 04: From Shira 2 to Barranco camp (3950m) via Lava tower (4642m)
Distance: 10km
Time taken: 8 hours
Habitat: Alpine desert.
The hike continue to the high point Lava tower, a short break for acclimatization and lunch, before heading down to BarrancoVallay Camp, viewing the great Barranco Wall. The camp is crowded because it’s the hub for 3-routes (Machame, Umbwe and Lemosho route). At the camp you will have a rest, dinner and overnight.
Day 05: From Barranco to Karanga camp
