Pick up at your hotel in Arusha and drive to Arusha national park. The park (542km²), the terrain is so diverse ranging from open savannah through acacia scrublands to afro-montane cloud and rain forest and afro-alpine vegetation that its mammal and bird lists are most impressive. From the famous black and white colobus monkey, giraffes, buffalos, blue monkeys to the flamingos and other birds all attracted to the area. Large areas of tropical forest with giant fig, shy forest birds, duikers and limited open spaces make this a photographer’s paradise. Short trekking is permitted under guidance of armed ranger following the hiking trails can be add on excursion at an extra charges. The park is also a home of mount Meru which is the second peak in the country and 4th one in Africa standing at an elevation of 4,556a.sl. Pick up at your hotel in Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara for game drive. The park is home of the tree-climbing lions. Apart from the varied types of landscape including jungle, swamp, savannah and the Great Rift Valley wall which is a catchment area for the rivers which flow into the park creating the fascinating ground water tropical forest at the foot of the wall, there are also a large variety of animals including Giraffe, Zebra, Elephant, Gazelle, hippos, monkeys and about 400 different species of birds providing the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Pick up at your hotel in Arusha with packed lunch and drive to Ngorongoro conservation area for crater tour. Strategically Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world, a large caldera that hosts the most unique ecosystem on Earth with 20,000 large grazing mammals and the largest concentration of predators on earth playing a key role in the maintenance of the ecological balance. Your experience will start by descending 2000 feet (over 600 metres) to the floor of the crater to explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where many predators hunt make their kill. Close to the slopes of Mt. Meru, Mulala is about 40 km from Arusha town along the Arusha-Moshi road wind your way up the mountain through a maze of lush, green vegetation dotted with small farms. The Mulala village is a typical rural setting on the southern slopes of Mt. Meru and surrounded by spectacular scenery. The women of Mulala have organised themselves to form Agape Women's Group to support economic activities of its members. Mulala cultural tour will include tour to Mama Anna's local cheese making unit, nice garden where you will relax and enjoy traditional meal, visit coffee and banana farms, walking through the forest enjoying panoramic view of mount Meru, Visit the farms of the Agape Women's group. The women will explain their farming methods and show you the various economic activities they have started, later you will roast and crush coffee beans to make home made freshly coffee drinks. The Kilimanjaro volcanic massif is one of the world's largest volcanoes presenting the worldwide image of African Continent. It supports unique combination of eco-climatic zones that takes you on the equivalent trip from the arctic to the equator in a very short space, being one of the unique ecosystem located near equator that contain glaciers. Alpine desert make the greatest extent of all glaciated equatorial mountain in East Africa. Day trip normally take 5hours ascending and descending via Marangu route. This trip provides excellent exploration of montane forest, streams heading downward to rural and urban town of Moshi. Visit maundi crater that give nice view of Lake Challa, Lake Jipe, Usambara Mountain and Ambosel national park in Kenya. Trails are well established that give excellent trekking.
