Begin your Private Pyramid shore excursion with Alex City Travel as you depart the pier for the approximate 3-hour drive through the highway to Africa’s largest city, Cairo. Upon arriving at the outskirts of Cairo, you will proceed to the Giza Plateau to discover the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World,. First pay a visit to the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates back to the time of Chephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramid of Chephren. Lunch at local restaurant, then move to the famous Egyptian Museum, housing the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts in the world, including the magnificent treasures of King Tutankhamen. Then, a short time will be spent at an oriental shop where a demonstration will take place introducing you to the art of paper making from reeds, discovered by the Ancient Egyptians.

The two Temples of Abu Simbel are considered masterpieces of ancient Egypt, reflecting the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II, was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Ra, and to Ramsses II himself. The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also called Temple of Hathor, after the goddess who was the wife of the God Horus, so in a symbolic way the two temples bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates back to the time of Chephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramid of Chephren.Move to visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world's oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Zoser. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.


Day 02: Egyptian Museum& Salah El Din Citadel


Breakfast in a hotel, have an excursion to the Egyptian Museum which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which are considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian artifacts in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold and jewelry which were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before its discovery in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated. Lunch at local restaurant. Then proceed to Salah El Din Citadel and the Alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came especially from Istanbul to build this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt for over 45 years. After that travel back to your cruise ship.

Alex city Travel representative will Start with you your tour moving from your hotel in Cairo in the early morning towards Cairo Airport taking the flight towards Luxor. Start your day with a visit to the Temple of Karnak. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinx to enter the complex as your guide explains how the massive facade was constructed. On entering the Temples of Karnak you will see each legacy left by the various pharaohs as the complex grew even larger. Walking through the Great Court into the Great Hypostyle Hall, it's hard not to be overwhelmed by the 134 columns towering above you like an ancient forest. At the rear of the complex you will find the sacred lake where centuries ago pharaohs and their offerings to the gods were purified. Then pay a visit to Valley of The Kings, Valley of the Queens containing the masterpieces of the ancient Egyptian tombs, that of Nefertary, wife of RamsesII. After that .Driving past Deir El Bahari, view the finest building in Egypt, a momentous masterpiece and one of the most impressive in the world, the magnificent funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Moreover; lunch is going to be served during your trip. In the evening, you will be driven to Luxor airport & back to Cairo.
