St. Martin lies in the middle of the Ennstal in Styria, at the foot of the mighty Grimming Mountain, in one of the loveliest areas of the region. Due to our very central position we are in an ideal location as starting point for many trips, for example, the neighbouring Salzkammergut, the wonderful valleys of the Enns Valley, or Admont in the Gesäuse.

Next to the guest house you will find the open air swimming pool (25 x 12m) only 2 minutes walk, with a child’s pool and a very nice green area surrounding it, together with its own buffet. Much loved are our walking tours in the Alms with Gudrun, Florian and Lisa, my wife and two children. I, Kurt, take you on more challenging walks and to mountain peaks and further (up to 6 hours). Evenings, while your children are busy playing in our courtyard and neighbouring garden and playing area, you can enjoy a drop of wine from our excellent wine cellar range. Or, if you prefer, a cool glass of local “Schladminger” Beer.

Specials this summer are cycling, with mountain bikes, walking and hiking, swimming and golf – we are located in the middle of the “Ennstal Golf Island”. Fishing in the Salza is exclusive to our guests.

We are a family run guest house and perhaps for this reason we look after the needs of our guests with that little extra care and attention. New this summer - our room with terrace.

It is about 10-20 minutes drive to the well known skiing area of Hauser Kaibling and Schladming’s Planai. The skiing areas in Donnersbach and Tauplitz are also easy to reach in the other direction.

We run a family guest house and perhaps for this reason we look after our guests well. Our cuisine is known for its good quality and high standard. (Michelin Guide 2007 – “Good Styrian Guest Houses).

Nearly all our rooms/apartments are furnished with a living room/seating area and offer all necessary comforts. Perhaps we can accompany you skiing sometime, or go curling, or have a fun time tobogganing together, or a relaxing afternoon feeding the deer in Kleinsölk, a village nearby. Also away from the piste it will definitely not be boring for you.
