‘Selmunett’ is a charming family run luxury Homestay
The property is located on the edge of the village of Naxxar, which is more or less in the centre of the island. We have two en suite bedrooms and garden for the use of guests. The sea at St Paul’s bay is a mere ten-minute car drive away. The capital Valetta is 15 minutes away; the airport and golf course 20 minutes away.

We strongly recommend that you hire a car for your time in Malta. We would be happy to arrange this for you when you place your booking with us. If you do, we will offer you Complimentary one way airport transfers and the use of a GPS navigation system to help you get yourselves around the island.

The new bus service in Malta is great with fully air-conditioned and modern buses with many routes round the Island. Our local bus stop is a mere three minutes from the house and you can get further information by taking a look at www.arriva.com.mt

Fitness enthusiasts, during the cooler weather, might like to consider bicycles, which again we can arrange. Rentals come complete with Helmets, front and back lights and a locking system.

Whilst we do not provide evening meals, we have a full list of recommended Restaurants that are in walking distance and of course others that are further a field and require transportation to get there. Apart from this we do have a Restaurant guide in each room so guests may wish to select their own, pubs and bars that we recommend listed here on our site.

WiFi is available throughout and in the event that guests require the use of computers in order to re-confirm flights and print boarding passes, this can be done with pleasure. Each of our rooms have iPhone/iPod docking systems.

Dogs are welcome in this hotel! (Joking Apart)

We never had a dog that smoked in bed and set a fire to the blankets. We never had a dog that stole our towels or played the TV too loud, or had a noisy fight with their travelling companion. We never had a dog that got drunk and broke up the furniture…

So if your dog can vouch for you, you’re welcome too.

There are no service charges for those staying at Selmunett, it is alway nice if the staff are tipped for their services on departure for services rendered it is entirely up to the guests discretion.

Food & Drink

Daily our breakfast is served on the kitchen terrace overlooking the garden. We serve a Barbecued English Breakfast accompanied with Tea/Coffee, Toast with a selection of juices jams made from fruit growing in the garden however please note this is of course seasonal. We do our utmost to give guests a different breakfast each and every morning. We do not serve any other meals on site however it is our pleasure to recommend where people so go for lunches and dinners quite close to us in Naxxar a mere 10 minute walk away.

Internet

Internet is available throughout the property, a Password will be issued on arrival and is accessible throughout the house.

Parking

Parking is available free of charge in our gated drive in that is off the road and very safe. A remote control unit is given on arrival that gives you access to the property.

Languages spoken

At Selmunett we can speak: English, Italian, German, French, Maltese and a member of staff speaks Philippines.

Cancellation/ prepayment

We request a deposit of 20% prior to guest arrival in order to confirm accommodation, bearing in mind bookings that are made well in advance and payment is required by Bank transfer (All information available on Proforma Invoice). In the event of close booking we mean a few days Credit card details are sufficent.

Children and extra beds

We have no problem in accommodating children as we have 2 Infant cots that are available, an Extra bed established in one of our rooms and a folding bed that can be moved around as required.

Pets

Pets are acceptable as long as prior notice is given so that the necessary arrangements can be made, due to the fact that we have a Boxer Dog (Quite Young) a Cat (Quite Old and particular) and a Canary (No trouble at all)
