Selmunett - Malta Homestay is located in the centre of the island so bearing this in mind it is very easy to make daily visits to historical sites, to Valletta our Capital, swimming down the road in St Paul's bay or for the more active water sports, sailing, diving, windsurfing, or land visits with bicycles. It is suggested that hiring a car is probably the best way of getting around the island however our bus service is very good and easy to follow, in fact there is an excellent website that points you in the right direction.

We serve our Breakfast on the kitchen terrace overlooking the garden, it is Barbecued and based on an English type, including seasonal Fruit, we grow our own citrus fruits in winter and in summer we have Peaches, Nectarines, Bambinella (A Maltese Pear which is very small and sweet) and Pomegranate. Followed by toast with butter and home made jams and marmalades and when in season fresh squeezed Orange, Mandarin, Grapefruit or even Clementine juices are served. We ensure clients have a different, cooked breakfast each day they are with us, to include Maltese delicacies with olives, olive oil and sun dried which are prepared and grown on site. Coffee and Tea served and replenished throughout.

Wi-Fi is available throughout Selmunett with is available free of charge, clients are given password details on check in.

We have our own gated area where cars are admitted using a remote control and are parked free of charge. Apart from this we have a pedestrian gate that is also accessible by remote control.

Rooms are done on a daily basis, beds are made and bathrooms cleaned, except on Sundays' when our staff have a day off, however Mineral water is replaced daily as required. Rooms have Tea/Coffee making facilities and a small fridge where one can cool drinks as required. Each room has Television and DVD facilities and the room is cooled in summer with a large ceiling fan. Windows have insect screens so basically one can sleep with the windows wide open and Fans on.

The property is located on the edge of the village of Naxxar, which is more or less in the centre of the island. We have two en suite bedrooms and garden for the use of guests. The sea at St Paul’s bay is a mere ten-minute car drive away. The capital Valetta is 15 minutes away; the airport and golf course 20 minutes away. We strongly recommend that you hire a car for your time in Malta. We would be happy to arrange this for you when you place your booking with us. If you do, we will offer you Complimentary one way airport transfers and the use of a GPS navigation system to help you get yourselves around the island. The new bus service in Malta is great with fully air-conditioned and modern buses with many routes round the Island. Our local bus stop is a mere three minutes from the house and you can get further information by taking a look at www.arriva.com.mt Fitness enthusiasts, during the cooler weather, might like to consider bicycles, which again we can arrange. Rentals come complete with Helmets, front and back lights and a locking system. Whilst we do not provide evening meals, we have a full list of recommended Restaurants that are in walking distance and of course others that are further a field and require transportation to get there. Apart from this we do have a Restaurant guide in each room so guests may wish to select their own, pubs and bars that we recommend listed here on our site. WiFi is available throughout and in the event that guests require the use of computers in order to re-confirm flights and print boarding passes, this can be done with pleasure. Each of our rooms have iPhone/iPod docking systems.

English, German, Italian, Maltese and a little French, having been in the Tourist business all my life, I find it easy to communicate with all my guests.
