Alto Tajo: At 640 m above sea level you have a great view of the Gulf of Nicoya, its islands and Nicoya, Puntarenas, and the port. When it's hot in Puntarenas, here it will be 6 degrees cooler.
Driving west into the mountains you will find a beautiful cloud forest after just 40 minutes, with its primary and secondary forest. Smaller tourist projects lovingly awaken your interest in the flora and fauna. Hikes? Guided tours? Paddling in the rain forest? Visiting a coffee plantation?
